Ohjus

In December 1984, a Soviet missile crashed into Lake Inari, and the international incident is complete. The drama-comedy tells the story of single parent Niina, who gets a new start in her life as a reporter for a local newspaper - and faces a possible scoop in a village where nothing ever happens. Niina plunges deep into the international missile crisis. Lapland and the small village are upended, and foreign journalists flock to the local hotel. In the midst of her research, Niina meets the fighter pilot Kai, and at the same time her ex-husband Tapio is about to be released from prison. Niina has to find her boundaries, for her own sake, and so the truth about the missile will see the light of day. Ohjus is a film about borders and boundaries, or the lack of them. A film where political satire meets warm humour.

Preview: Premiere 26.7.2024!

Kun heidän maailmansa kohtaavat, tapahtuu jotain odottamatonta: he rakastuvat.
